Finding a rewarding career should be easy. Get answers to common questions about the online job search, application and hiring processes at Anna Jaques Hospital.
You’ll find all full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities at Anna Jaques and other Beth Israel Lahey Health locations online.
We regularly host career fairs for full-time, part-time and per diem positions at Anna Jaques. During these events, we offer information about open opportunities and conduct on-site interviews. If you attend a career fair, bring two hard copies of your resume along with a list of references.
Per diem means “per day.” Per diem jobs offer you the opportunity to be on staff at the hospital without the commitment of a full-time or part-time schedule. We schedule per diem employees as needed and they are not eligible to receive benefits.
After you apply online, our recruitment staff will review your application promptly. We’ll contact you within approximately two weeks if you meet the desired position’s qualifications, required skills and experience.
Before your job interview at Anna Jaques, it’s important that you consider and prepare responses for common interview questions. These may include questions about your training, professional background, work style, strengths, weaknesses and problem-solving abilities.
You should also develop a list of questions to ask during your interview. These may include questions about the job you’re applying for or the team you’ll work with.
You should also bring multiple copies of your resume to share during your interview.
Make sure your resume or another document includes contact information for your professional references. Professional references are people you’ve reported to or worked for in the past. We don’t consider colleagues and peers as professional references.
Yes. If you’re offered a position at Anna Jaques, you must pass a drug test and criminal background check as part of the pre-employment screening process. If you don’t pass these tests, you may re-apply after a six-month waiting period.
The pre-employment screening process takes approximately seven business days to complete. Once you’re “cleared” for employment, your job offer is confirmed and you’ll be scheduled for our orientation and training process.
At this time, Anna Jaques requires the initial COVID-19 vaccination and the booster.
Yes. We require all new Anna Jaques employees — whether part-time, full-time or per diem — to attend a day-long orientation program. Orientation typically runs on the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Morse Board Room located on our hospital's main campus. The Morse Board Room is located in the main hallway of the hospital, close to the gift shop. A continental breakfast and lunch are provided. Attire on this day is business casual.
As a new Anna Jaques employee, you’re trained in the specific policies and procedures of your department. Nurses also complete extensive training led by our Nursing Education Department. Your hiring manager will share more about your training and training schedule.
