Safety Basics for Infants and Children

This class is for parents, grandparents, family members and anyone who wants to learn lifesaving, infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, and choking skills but does not need a course completion card. Our Infant CPR & Car Seat Safety Class includes everything needed to learn basic infant CPR and relief of choking.

Child Passenger Safety Instruction is included, covering:

  • The difference between seatbelt and LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) installations
  • Properly adjusting a five-point harness
  • Rear-facing and forward-facing seats
  • Rear-facing only versus convertible seats
  • Weight limitations
  • What to look for when purchasing a child seat

How To Register for Classes
