About Dr. Kahan

Anna Jaques and Lahey Health have established a joint urology practice, Beth Israel Lahey Health Urology, with dedicated providers located at Beverly and Anna Jaques. Dr. Steven Kahan has joined the AJH medical staff as a board-certified urologist. He brings unique training in both law and medicine, having been a practicing attorney prior to and during medical school. Dr. Kahan’s medical practice focuses on community urology and treating a broad range of diagnoses of the urinary tract including BPH, erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, overactive bladder, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of prostate and bladder cancer. His office will be located in Suite 14 of the Doctors’ Office Building.

Dr. Kahan received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University. He is dedicated to restoring normal function to men and women with urological disease by providing comprehensive and compassionate care. He utilizes the most advanced treatments, including minimally invasive surgery to treat a wide variety of conditions. He enjoys building relationships with his patients and helping to improve their quality of life.

Additionally, Dr. Kahan is dedicated to community service and international medical mission work. As a former longtime board member of the International Volunteers of Urology (IVUMED), he has participated and led surgical missions to India and Vietnam.
