About Dr. Burke

Samuel P. Burke, MD graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in chemistry and then received his medical degree from the Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Burke completed an internship in internal medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver and then spent three years as a resident in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He proceeded to do a fellowship in cornea at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Burke is a medical comprehensive ophthalmologist focusing on eye diseases including corneal conditions, dry eye, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Burke is board certified in ophthalmology and joined Tallman Eye Associates in 2025.

Dr. Burke grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to the Boston area to be closer to family. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, hiking, traveling, and cooking.
