About Dr. Thurlow
Dr. Jeffrey P. Thurlow is a board-certified General Surgeon & Surgical Critical Care specialist. Following his undergraduate work at Duke and medical school in Vermont, he completed a surgical residency at Tufts Medical Center and the Harvard Surgical Critical Care Fellowship program. He then joined Dedham Medical Associates, one of the leading multispecialty group practices in the Boston area.
Dr. Thurlow has held a number of leadership positions in various institutions including roles as Chief of Surgery, Director of Surgical Critical Care, and President of the Medical Staff. He has been on the faculty at Tufts & Harvard Medical Schools as an Instructor in Surgery and enjoys teaching. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, and a member of several surgical societies.
A native of Maine, Dr. Thurlow relocated to the Seacoast area of Maine & New Hampshire to start an independent surgical practice and raise his family in a small, family-centered community. The Seacoast Surgery team’s motivation is to provide accessible, evidence-based, high quality & compassionate treatment of the patients entrusted to their care.
Dr. Thurlow is very enthusiastic about this next opportunity to expand his unique practice to the Newburyport area and work with the wonderful people who make up the Anna Jaques family which he is privileged to now join.
