About Dr. Vitterito

Joseph A. Vitterito II, MD, is a board-certified neonatologist with extensive experience in newborn and neonatal intensive care, medical education, and clinical leadership. He has served in neonatology roles across community hospitals and Level II/III nurseries, with a strong focus on family-centered care, parent support, neonatal ethics, and multidisciplinary education. In addition to his medical career, Dr. Vitterito is an author and illustrator of multiple children’s books, including Ichabod Is Not a Duck, Just Eat, Jonah!, My Brother Is a Preemie, and My Sister Is a Preemie, as well as cookbooks and other creative projects. He is also the owner, producer, writer, and performer behind multiple music acts on Anticodon Records, with several charting and award-winning songs and albums. Outside of work, his greatest joy is being the father of three amazing sons.
